Here you often only need to drive for 5 minutes and you&#8217;re already in front of the next castle, the next cave, a secluded Dordogne beach or one of the &#8220;most beautiful villages in France&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>But the other regions of the Dordogne are also very beautiful and every corner has its own charm and highlights.<\/p>\n<p><b>In the high season (especially in August), the main sights in the P\u00e9rigord Noir can get quite crowded. W\u00e4hrend im S\u00fcdwesten (P\u00e9rigord Pourpre) sanfte H\u00fcgelketten (50 bis ca. 150 Meter H\u00f6he) das Landschaftsbild bestimmen, fallen die H\u00fcgel im P\u00e9rigtortd Noir etwas steiler aus und bewegst du dich dort auf einer H\u00f6he von 150 bis ca. 500 H\u00f6henmetern. Im P\u00e9rigord Noir herrschen die Eichenw\u00e4lder vor, w\u00e4hrend im P\u00e9rigord Pourpre vor allem Wein angebaut wird. Weiter im Norden (P\u00e9rigord Blanc und P\u00e9rigord Pourpre) ist die Landschaft ebenfalls gr\u00fcn und h\u00fcgelig und gibt es viel Wiesen und Wald (45 % der Gesamtfl\u00e4che des P\u00e9rigords ist mit Wald bewachsen und 99 % der W\u00e4lder befinden sich in Privatbesitz).<\/p>\n<p><b>Wusstest du, dass du als Waldbesitzer haftbar bist f\u00fcr deinen Wald? <\/b>Wenn etwa ein Ast oder gar ein ganzer Baum auf eine Person f\u00e4llt, haftest du pers\u00f6nlich f\u00fcr den Schaden und kannst auch angeklagt werden. Another option is flying to Bordeaux Airport, in that way you can discover Bordeaux as well. If you have enough time, you can also get around by train, bike or on foot. But to be honest: although a lot is being invested in public transportation, I find car-free travel in the P\u00e9rigord quite a challenge. If you only want to visit the larger towns such as Bergerac, Sarlat and P\u00e9rigueux as well as the best-known highlights, that may work without a car.
